TOLEDO, Ohio -
One woman is dead and another is injured after they were hit by a car in east Toledo Saturday night. It happened around 8:30 near the new Hollywood Casino on Miami Street.
Miami Street was closed in both directions while crews cleared the scene.
Toledo police tell us the driver was believed to be under the influence of drugs.
We're told a group of four, two men and two women, were walking to the casino after eating dinner at the Days Inn.
Witnesses say the group was planning to ride a shuttle to the casino but were told the shuttle was not working, so they decided to walk.
They were on the sidewalk along eastbound Miami on the overpass when Toledo police say the driver of a Chevy SUV lost control, jumping the curve and hitting the two women.
Stefanie Arnold was pronounced dead on the scene. Chelsea Skock is in the hospital in serios condition. The driver of the SUV, Michael Yates, was also taken to the hospital.
The crash is still under investigation, and charges are pending.
