WATERVILLE, Ohio (WTVG) -- If you hear a rumble in Waterville, it might be because of Lucas Bredberg.
Lucas is four years old, and a pedal-tractor pulling champion.
Earlier this month, Lucas took home the trophy for winning the top spot in the 4-year-olds division at the Lucas County Fair.
"Yeah, we had to pedal a big weight, and I got the fastest," explained Lucas. "I got first place and the other boy got second place."
Lucas demonstrated: he's had plenty of practice pulling weight. That's where his little brother Isaiah comes in. Isaiah is 3 years old, and 35 pounds. When he hitches a ride in the wagon, it helps Lucas train for the pedal pulling contest. He might say, "He's not heavy --- he's my brother."
Lucas's mom, Jessica Bredberg, says he got the pedal tractor for his birthday, because Lucas loves everything John Deere.
"We wanted to make sure that he got a pedal tractor so that he would use his energy, and not one that's battery powered, cause he has lots of energy," said Jessica.
Now, the pint-sized peddler qualifies for the state pedal tractor pull in Bucyrus, August 25th. If he wins at states, the next stop may be the national pedal tractor pull at the Corn Palace in Marshall, South Dakota.
