The Berdan exit off I-75 is back open after a semi tipped on its side Tuesday morning.
According to Toledo Fire, the driver actually averted a bigger accident. They say he was traveling northbound on I-75 when he realized traffic had stopped.
The driver told police, instead of hitting the car in front of him, he turned onto the off-ramp, and that caused the truck to flip.
Crews worked to contain about 200 gallons of gas that spilled.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
