The 2012 Olympic Games "officially" begin this Friday, July 27th.
However as I write this, the USA women's soccer team just tied it up in its game against France, thanks to Alex Morgan.
Tuesday night on 13abc, I profiled our hometown soccer star, Natalia Gaitan who is co-captain of the Colombian soccer team.
Colombia is in a pool with the USA, France and North Korea.
As we all gear up for this year's Olympic Games, I am venturing out to say, I will be "double-rooting" if there is such a thing.
I am a die-hard Rocket fan, and a die-hard American.
I will be rooting for the USA through the whole Olympic Games, unless they play Colombia in women's soccer.
Wait - I take that back.
I will root for the USA, and Natalia Gaitan.
I am a huge fan of Hope Solo and Abby Wambach, especially.
I will let you in on a little secret that I am actually very proud of. I cried, dramatically, threw things at the TV, and stomped to my bedroom (like a little kid) when Hope was voted off DWTS two seasons ago. Pathetic, yet very true.
Ever since that moment, I have been waiting to watch her shine in her element: tending goal for the USA.
I don't know about you, but the chills the USA game me during the World Cup last summer...I would give anything to have those again!
So as I let you go, I am miss Curious Geor-gina (ha!)
Who will you be rooting for during this years games?
You know who I will be rooting for.
GO USA!!!!
