Here in Toledo, unemployment numbers show the need for a job is up. That's why one local couple is reaching out to help those who are unemployed, and it's all being done on Facebook. This is a way for people in the Toledo area to find a job. The group, "Hiring in Toledo" posts job openings from all spectrums and you don't have to do anything but join the group. After all, your new job could just be a click away.

David Jeffries and his wife Jennifer Jeffries started this group, to help their friends and family find a job.

David Jeffries says, "If somebody could make a connection, that would be great."

That's the whole idea. Almost everyone you know is getting connected through Facebook. David and Jennifer Jeffries are using the social media site to help others land a job.

Jeffries says, "We have great jobs here in Toledo, but some people are really struggling. It is just a way to get it out there and let someone know what is going on."

Jennifer Jeffries says, "It's a condensed area where everybody can go without the scamming and giving out your personal information over Craigslist and emailing random people you don't know which is unsafe."

The need is real. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, unemployment numbers are down. The unemployment rate in Toledo dropped two-percent since January 2012. The Jeffries say there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Jeffries says, "You don't want anybody to say there is nothing here I might as well give up and go on unemployment. Custodian shifts at The Blue Heron Service Plaza, somebody says Kohl's was hiring on Airport. The Hollywood Casino in Toledo."

Those are just some of the jobs being posted on this page, which already gained hundreds of followers in the last 24-hours.

Jeffries says, "Even if you see a hiring sign at the local McDonalds, post it. Somebody out there from every field is going to be looking for a job."
