HURON County -

A case of child abuse involving a nine month old.

According to the Huron County Sheriff's Department,  the abuse involved a nine-month-old boy who suffered multiple fractures.

The Sheriff says 20-year-old Christoffer Mills admitted to abusing the baby. We're told he's not the child's biological father, but lived with the boy's mother.

Investigators say Mills admitted to "losing his temper" and hurting the child.  They say the baby was attacked three times in the past two months and was admitted to the hospital Tuesday suffering from nine fractures.

The 9-month-old has been released from the hospital. He is currently in foster care.
If convicted,  Mills faces up to eight years in prison.
