Ford is working on a pickup truck with a mostly aluminum body to boost fuel economy.

That's according to the Wall Street Journal, which calls the move one of the biggest gambles in the automaker's 108 year old history.

It points out manufacturing obstacles and having to convince pickup buyers that aluminum is as tough as steel.
