Landslides hit Pennsylvania after rains

Posted: Updated:

People living in one Pennsylvania Community say Thursday night's heavy rain sent water gushing down the road.

The road's wrecked  and a family is trying to clean up. The rain swept the earth from under the road tearing out a guardrail and trees.

At the bottom of the hill, the landslide broke through a window of a home filling a back room with about four feet of mud.

Ross township commissioner Chris Eister said,  "This is something that you never think would happen. And a freak of nature occurred here."

The people who live in the house are staying with a neighbor.
