Classbag was founded by Toledo Technology Entrepreneur Will Lucas.
It's not open to the public just yet. Lucas tells 13abc, "It pulls resources from across the web that help you get to the next place in your interests, education and career."
Classbag is an online lifestyle directory. The website recommends classes at local institutions, online courses books, articles and area events that pertain to your specific interests.
Lucas explains, "Lets say I'm into tea, I'm a tea aficionado, so I go to the site and insert tea and it will pull books about the history of green tea or find networking groups around me and help me find tea tasting's."
Classbag can also help you find a top university or a job. Lucas tells 13abc, "there was a study that came out in USA today in the middle of last year that said half of the graduating class in 2010 were still looking for a job in the beginning of 20-11."
"I believe college is worth it but I don't believe the way we do college is the way of the future...so if we can find more interest based educational methods than I think we will be a lot more efficient getting to where we want to go."
Classbag is being backed financially by Rocket Ventures, a capital firm with ties to the University of Toledo and the State of Ohio.
Lucas tells 13abc, "our motto is find your way...and I think what we help you to do id find the things that help you get better at what it is your trying to do."
