There are new details in the cat killing controversy in Stryker that we first told you about in March. Stryker Police Chief Steve Schlosser pleaded no contest to animal cruelty in Bryan Municipal Court

*Ford Suing Dana over Recall
Ford is suing Toledo-based Dana Corporation for allegedly providing faulty vehicle frames. Ford says Dana's frames were to blame for a 2011 recall of more than 425-thousand Windstar minivans. The automaker says it was forced to issue the recall because road salt caused those frames to corrode and break. Dana has denied responsibility for the problem. In the meantime, Ford continues to buy parts from Dana in spite of the lawsuit.
*Shooting Near O-Fives Bar
Toledo police are investigating a shooting on the city's east side. It happened near the O-Fives bar that's on the corner of Platt and Starr. Police say a group of men had just left the bar when they were attacked. One person was shot in the stomach. Several people were taken into custody - but there's no word if any of them will be charged.

President Obama is back in Ohio today. He's campaigning in Mansfield and Akron - laying out his vision for rebuilding the economy and cutting taxes for the middle class. 13abc has a crew there and we'll have complete coverage of his visit. *Chick-fil-A Non-Protest
A famous fast food restaurant is taking center stage today thanks to a former presidential candidate. Mike Huckabee organized an unofficial Chick-fil-A "Appreciation Day" to counter the backlash the chain received after its owner spoke out, opposing same-sex marriage. Angry customers held protests at several locations - but today's event is aimed at showing support for the company.
*Postal Service Default
The USPS is likely to default on a big bill today if it doesn't get some help from Congress. It owes more than five billion dollars in health care pre-payments. Postal officials have said they're bracing for default on this payment as well as the one due at the end of September. They do say there won't be any impact on employees' pay or mail delivery. The default is largely symbolic. Right now, the post office is operating on a loan from the treasury.
