An update on the tiny kitten nearly crushed on a local construction site. You may remember last month we introduced you to "Lucky."
Construction crews at the old Jeep plant were picking up concrete blocks with a front loader when the operator realized the kitty was inside, so he stopped the machine and rescued Lucky.
It's been a couple of weeks and lucky's made some progress. The Toledo Area Humane Society put him with another litter of kittens with a nursing mom, who took to him right away. Lucky's gotten bigger and is healing.
Cindy Condit from the Humane Society says, "He did have a couple minor injuries when he came in. As you can see, he has a very minor notch out of his ear, and his tail healed up really well. He didn't lose any of his tail at all."
Humane Society leaders say lucky has to be at least two pounds before he can be adopted. They say he'll spend a little more time in foster car to get bigger and more active and will probably be available for adoption in about four weeks.
