After three months of weak growth, there's finally some encouraging news on the jobs front.
Analysts had been predicting between 90 and 100 thousand new jobs, but the Labor Department reports 163,000 were added in July, the best month since February.
Still unemployment rose from 8.2% to 8.3 % According to the report there are still more than 12 million Americans out of work.
Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney calls the tenth-of-a-point increase a "hammer blow" to middle-class families.
And the White House says the report is evidence that the economy is recovering.
