You have a chance to speak with federal regulators about the recent findings concerning cracks found in Davis-Besse's shield building.
There's a public meeting next week hosted by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Its independent review accepted First Energy's findings that the cracks found in the concrete shell of the plant can be traced to the Blizzard of 1978.
Regulators said they agree a lack of interior weatherproofing caused the concrete to crack.
They also concluded first energy's proposed actions should prevent the problem from happening again.
The public meeting to discuss the NRC'ss review is August 9th. It runs from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Oak Harbor High School on State Route 163.
