TOLEDO, Ohio -
There's a Toledo home up for auction on ebay right now, so far it's had 21 bids and the price is topping $12,000.
But it turns out the two-story home listed at 238 Floyd Street, doesn't exist.
The listing shows Jones Investments as the seller, an ebay member since last August with a transaction history showing eight purchases but no sales.
Kim Neal lives near the now empty lot on Floyd Street.
He remembers the house and says the owner had planned to make it a daycare before moving away.
"The house was vacant for a while, so I went back and forth with the city, with the bank, about the upkeep because it was making my, cause it was bringing my property value down," said Kim Neal who lives near the empty lot.
Neal says the city tore the house down two years ago.
According to the Lucas County Auditor, the parcel is owned by John Papadopoulos, but the ebay account doesn't list a name.
Also in the fine print the seller writes, "All funds will have to paid via bank wire transfer or cashiers check" and a non-refundable documentation fee of $295.00 is due within 24 hours.
