Saturday night's severe weather may have sparked a house fire in Henry County.
Smoke billowed from the trees, and all that could be heard was the engines of the fire trucks. Several area departments responded to the home engulfed in flames off County Road U.
Despite receiving help from Wauseon, Napoleon, and Liberty Center, it took hours for the Ridgeville Fire Department to control the blaze.
"It seemed to be started up in the attic area," said Ridgeville Assistant Fire Chief Dave Hancock as his crews battled the flames. "Right now were kind of in defensive mode, trying to get the fire knocked down so we can get in and really get to it."
The family that lives in the home escaped unharmed and is being assisted by the Red Cross.
