Ohio AG looking for wanted sex offender

Posted: Updated:

In an effort to prevent crimes against children in Ohio, Attorney General Mike DeWine is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted sex offender who has not registered his address since 2008.

Hector Eaton Martinez, a sexually oriented offender who is required to register his address each year, last registered himself as living on South Whittlesey Avenue in Oregon, Ohio, in April 2008.  A year later, deputies with the Lucas County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for his arrest when he did not update his address in April 2009.

Martinez was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition in 2002.  His victim is listed as a juvenile female.  Records also show he was convicted of Domestic Violence in 2006.

Martinez has a scar on his left arm, as well as a scar on his neck.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Hector Eaton Martinez should contact the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
