13abc Get Connected I-Team Phone Bank

TOLEDO, Ohio -

News reporting begins with investigation.  Investigation often starts with news tips.

13abc is looking to "get connected" directly to those who have subjects they want to see investigated by 13abc's I Team.  Led by investigative reporter Shaun Hegarty, 13abc journalists will operate a phone bank today from 5:00pm until 6:30pm.

Lines will be open for callers who have news tips for the I Team.  If you know of abuse or fraud, taxpayer waste, poor conditions at public facilities or some other topic that needs to be exposed, call the I Team phone bank at 419-534-3838 beginning at 5:00pm.

Callers may remain anonymous.  Story ideas may be the subject of future I Team investigations.

13abc has a long tradition of investigative reporting.  Past subjects include public office holder expenses, substandard bridges, animal abuse, and exposing forced underage prostitution rings.

For those who do not have access to phone lines, suggestions and tips may be submitted to:  iteam@13abc.com.
