Road line painted over road kill

Posted: Updated:

A transportation crew in Pennsylvania putting new double-yellow lines on a road painted over some road kill.

State Transportation leaders say it normally wouldn't happen, but the "squirrelly geometry" configuration of the road helped lead the workers to paint over a dead raccoon.

The state DOT adds that a foreman usually clears away any dead animals before the paint trucks pass, but this one didn't have a foreman and the equipment was too big to turn around in traffic.
