    Toledo police shot and killed a man with a gun early Thursday morning. Police say officers were patrolling in the 1000 block of Page Street around 12:30 when they saw a man pointing a gun at a woman.

*Toddlers Shot at Moody Manor Apartments

Toledo Police say two toddlers are in critical condition at Mercy St. Vincent's after being shot in the Moody Manor apartments. There is no word from police on the suspects – and they say anyone with information can call the Crime Stopper hotline.

*Samuel Williams Sentencing

The man convicted of killing a young Springfield Township couple is expected to learn his sentence today. Last month, Samuel Williams was convicted of killing 20-year-old Lisa Straub and 21-year-old Johnny Clarke.

*Willard & Kelsey Loan Payment Due (Toledo Blade)

Willard and Kelsey Solar Group is being asked to pay back a $5 million dollar loan right now. The Toledo Blade reports the company failed to make good loan payments to the Ohio Department of Development for the past year. So the state is now saying the loan is due in full. The company has until September 5th to pay the loan off.

*Jamie Farr Second Round

The long shots are in the lead at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic at Highland Meadows in Sylvania. Today, the "party" will extend way past the clubhouse…the tournament *Friday at the Farr* will include extra seating around the green at the #14. It's a Par 3 in the back southeast corner of the course. There will be extra refreshment stands nearby...and the whole idea is to create a party like atmosphere around the hole.

 *OH – Columbus Hotel Shooting

(AP) - Columbus police say they were forced to shoot and kill a man who pointed a gun at them at a hotel on the city's north side. Police spokesman Sgt. Rich Weiner says officers were called to the Extended Stay America hotel just after midnight on a report of a man with a gun threatening employees and guests. The man - identified as 28-year-old James Hattersley - pointed a gun at officers as an elevator door opened on the second floor. Weiner says two officers fired multiple shots, killing him. Nobody else was hurt. Hattersley's wife told investigators that he has a history of mental illness. Drugs and alcohol are also suspected to have been a factor.

*OH – Traffic Fatalities Up

(AP) - The number of traffic fatalities in Ohio is rising. The Dayton Daily News reports that fatalities in the state this year through Wednesday are up 14 percent over the same period last year. That's 654 fatalities compared with 574. The increase mirrors a national trend and comes despite extra patrols by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The state saw a record low 1,015 traffic deaths last year.

*Multi-State Lottery is Up

The Powerball drawing for Saturday night is up to $253 million dollars. This is the largest Powerball jackpot since February when an 81-year-old woman in Rhode Island - Louise White - won the $336-million prize.
