Flag presentation has special meaning for Boy Scout

Raising a flag took on a special meaning Thursday at the Open Door Ministry.

The event was put into motion by Robert Lagger from Boy Scout Troop 210 in Holland. He wanted to involve Open Door Ministry in his service project as he worked toward becoming an Eagle Scout.

He spent time painting the homes and installed a light on the flag pole at the Sixth Street property.

Thursday, a special flag presentation ceremony was held there and a flag that was flown on an Army base in Iraq was hoisted up the pole.
