Water shutoff planned for Monday

Posted: Updated:
TOLEDO, Ohio -

The Lucas County Sanitary Engineer would like to inform Lucas County water customers in the area of Central Avenue (near Holland-Sylvania) that they may be impacted by a planned water shut off to isolate the water main for necessary repairs on Monday evening, August 13.

Preparatory work will occur during the day on Monday, August 13 and the water will be shut off from 10 O'Clock in the evening on Monday, August 13 until 2 O'Clock in the morning on Tuesday, August 14 (approximately 4 hours, weather permitting).  The evening work is intended to minimize the impact to nearly 200 water customers in the area.

Door hangers are being distributed to impacted customers with a Water Advisory: As a precaution, customers are advised to boil water intended for consumption for a least one minute.  The advisory is being issued as a precaution only and will be in effect until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 unless further notified.  This will provide ample time for the results of testing to be completed to determine that the water is safe to consume.  We apologize for an inconveniences this may cause.  If you have any questions, please call the Sanitary Engineer's office at 419-213-2926.
