The attorney for an Ohio man accused of bringing weapons into a movie theater last week says it was just for protection.
Scott Smith's lawyer says Smith bought a handgun, ammunition and knives to the movies in case another shooting happened.
Smith was reportedly in the back row waiting for that same movie when an off-duty police officer and a theater manager grew suspicious. After searching his bag they found the weapons.
