The Lucas County Sanitary Engineer has withdrawn a water advisory for area north of Central Avenue (near Holland-Sylvania) in Sylvania Township effective immediately. The water is now safe to drink say officials.
On Monday evening, maintenance crews were able to perform work without shutting off water service to nearly 200 water customers in the area.
Customers no longer need to boil water as a precaution. The advisory is being lifted as the public water main was not depressurized as expected.
