Promedica is teaming up with Toledo Public Schools to offer medical programs for students.  Today the health care system started by making a hefty donation.  This morning Promedica's President and CEO handed Toledo Public school leaders a check for $100,000.

The money will support the Toledo Early College High School's new STEMM program.  The new curriculum will focus on science, technology, engineering, math and medicine.  Incoming freshman at Toledo Early College can now follow a 4 year academic path that will prepare them for a career in the medical field.  Students will be able to take specific courses, attend seminars, and shadow medical professionals.

Toledo Early College is known for accelerating students through its college prep program--students can earn their high school diploma plus 2 years of college credit.  Toledo Public Schools is also applying for a grant that would allow the district to merge the Toledo Early College with the Toledo Technology Academy.  The district would like to create a STEMM program for students K-8th.
