The trial continues for a carryout clerk accused of killing a man who tried to rob him. Jurors watched surveillance video of Bandar Abu-Karsh shooting a would-be robber 33 times.
Jurors reached a verdict Wednesday in the trial of a carryout clerk who was charged with killing a would-be robber.
The jury found 28-year-old Bandar Abu-Karsh not guilty of voluntary manslaughter after deliberating for two hours.
Abu-Karesh shot Lamar Allen 30 times and killed him during a robbery attempt.
Prosecutors had argued it was a case of overkill. Abu-Karsh claimed the shooting was in self-defense.
Lamar Allen's family declined to comment on the verdict.
Abu-Karsh remains behind bars for allegedly violating immigration laws.
