Facebook is rolling out several initiatives to make the Democratic and Republican conventions more social media friendly. It's an effort to bring social media to the convention floors.

Facebook executives believe they can connect hundreds of millions of people to the upcoming Presidential conventions in Tamp, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina.

The company plans to give the thousands of delegates support and easy ways to share what they're doing and saying during the events.

Facebook reports that representatives from the company will be hosting an event called Apps and Drinks at both conventions to show delegates the apps available for them to use.

They'll also be hosting photo spots where conventioneers can swipe a badge and easily share photos on the social media network.

Facebook reps will be on hand in both cities to answer questions and offer resources to on how to share the convention experience.
