TOLEDO, Ohio -

Erik Kynard left London with a bang and returned to his alma mater Rogers High School for a parade with just as much noise Saturday.

Everyone wanted a look at that silver medal from the high jump and they know all know the name of the Kansas State Wildcat.

August 18, 2012 was Erik Kynard, Junior day in Toledo.  That's just one of many honors given to Kynard by everyone from Toledo Mayor Mike Bell, to Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur to leaders from Toledo Public Schools.

Erik drives back to Kansas State to start school Monday as he looks ahead to the Olympics in Brazil in 2016
