Posted: Updated:

NEW YORK, NY – August 20, 2012 – On September 4, 2012, after months of anticipation and endless speculation, TV fans finally will get the answer to the question "Who will be Kelly Ripa's new co-host?"  That morning, when Ripa walks into the "LIVE" studio, she'll be joined by her new partner and a whole new era will begin for "LIVE."

On November 21, 2011, "LIVE! with Kelly" debuted following the departure of longtime host Regis Philbin, and in the following months, 59 different men and women sat next to Kelly at the co-host desk, top personalities from every area of broadcasting and entertainment.  One individual from that immensely talented group has been tapped to fill one of the most coveted jobs in television.

Ripa will kick off the new season on Monday, September 3, acting as a solo host for the first time, and the following day, September 4, will mark the first day the new co-host team officially will helm the show together.  Stopping by as guests on September 4 will be actress Claire Danes and 2012 "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, making his "LIVE" performance debut.

Emmy Award-winning talk show "LIVE! with Kelly" is distributed in national syndication by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. 13abc airs LIVE! with Kelly at 9 a.m. Monday through Friday.
