A kitten who had a close brush with death is now thriving.
13abc first introduced you to Lucky in July when a construction worker clearing concrete blocks at the old Jeep plant spotted the kitten in a front loader. He stopped the machine and rescued the kitten who became known as Lucky. The Toledo Area Humane Society put him with another litter of kittens with a nursing mom. Officials say Lucky is making progress, gaining weight, and healing.
"He's doing great," says Kadee Foote, Animal Care Supervisor at the Toledo Humane Society. "He really has no issues from what was a crazy ordeal except for this little notch on his ear. He's healed up just fine. He's very playful and cuddly. Loves to play with the other kittens and loves mama. So he's doing really, really good."
The Humane Society says Lucky is not yet available for adoption.
