Chemical spill cleared at Owens CC

Emergency crews evacuated the Math and Science building on the campus of Owens Community College on the Perrysburg Township campus Tuesday morning.

A spokesperson for the college says there was a minor chemical spill inside one of the classrooms. Someone spilled "organic waste product" inside a science lab. 

The building was evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.

Perrysburg Township fire crews were called to the scene. The building has since been cleaned and sanitized. 

Classes resumed Tuesday afternoon.
