MARION, Ohio - Lourdes University continued to roll on the volleyball court on Wednesday evening with a 25-12, 25-15, 25-14 win over Ohio State-Marion at the Albert Student Center in Marion, Ohio.

The Gray Wolves hit a season-high .333 as a team, including a blistering .556 in the opening set, on the way to their fourth win in their last five matches.

"The team played well, we executed our skills, and we didn't make mistakes in a row," head coach Greg Reitz said after the match.  "In the opening set we missed six serves but still won handily.  We got a great deal of support from our bench."

Lourdes registered a couple of blocks in set two along with 12 more kills to increase its advantage in the match.

"Game two was similar to the opener in that we missed five serves," Reitz added.  "We made a few hitting errors, but were able to steady ourselves and secure the win."

Set three saw the Gray Wolves tally a match-high 14 kills along with 19 digs defensively to complete the sweep.

"The third set was a huge improvement for us in terms of serving, missing just two," Reitz stated.  "Our block and defense was very sound."

Amelia Horton (Milan, Mich./Milan H.S.) and Lola Hidalgo (El Paso, Texas/Canutillo H.S.) paced Lourdes with eight kills each, hitting .429 and .412 respectively.  Shayna Lindley (Toledo, Ohio/Rossford H.S.) added 15 digs defensively while Michi Jimenez (Vega Baja, P.R./Juan Quirindongo Morell H.S.) had a team-high 12 assists as the Gray Wolves used three different setters on the night.

Lourdes (4-1) will return to action this weekend at the Michigan-Dearborn Earlybird Challenge.  In Friday's action, the Gray Wolves will face Saint Francis (Ill.) in the opening match at 1 p.m. before battling #25 Indiana-East at 5 p.m.
