Singer John Legend campaigned in Toledo Thursday on behalf of President Obama. The singer is from Springfield, Ohio, and his father worked in the auto industry.
Legend has campaigned for the president before. Thursday he said one of the many reasons he backs the president is his decision to bail out the auto industry.
"It is a clear difference between him and his opponent," the singer said. "Governor Romney has explicitly said let the auto industry go bankrupt, and we know what kind of devastating impact that would have in this region."
Legend also spoke to young people, emphasizing how important it was to get out and vote.
