chase involving an Iowa
woman who says her car's gas pedal got stuck, causing her to speed out of
control.
The driver says she's
lucky to be alive and thankful for a very helpful 9-1-1 operator.
"They said try to
lift up the accelerator and push on the brake, and so I did that, and it
slammed me from 119 mph to like nothing," says Lauri Ulvestad. "It
slowed down enough that I jumped out and it kept going and then the officers
went and tracked it down and unhooked the battery. I went and hugged, I don't
know what officer it was, but I went and hugged him and said I'm safe."
