1. HURRICANE HELP
Local organizations are mobilizing to head south to help victims of Hurricane Isaac, which came ashore tonight with winds of about 80 mph. ISOH Impact and The American Red Cross are sending local volunteers and supplies to the several states along the Gulf Coast.
2. BGSU CONCUSSION LAWSUIT
Bowling Green State University is facing a civil lawsuit from a former football player. Cody Silk claims the university and several members of the football staff, failed to recognize, diagnose or treat him for head trauma and concussion symptoms after issuing him an ill-fitted helmet. The suit claims that led to neurological damage and Silk says the university used that to revoke his athletic scholarship. BGSU says it cannot comment on the case.

3. WOMAN DIES
(AP) - A severely burned woman has died two days after being found naked and with a rope around her neck along a road in a heavily wooded area of eastern Ohio. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says Celeste Fronsman died today. The Canton area resident had suffered burns over most of her body. An autopsy is planned.
4. ASIAN CARP
(AP) - Nearly two dozen water samples taken from Sandusky Bay and Sandusky River in Ohio have tested positive for the presence of Asian carp DNA. Officials say Tuesday that a total of 150 samples were taken at the end of July as part of sampling begun earlier this summer for the invasive fish in western Lake Erie. No live Asian carp were found and the DNA could come from a variety of sources.

5. ROMNEY TICKET NOMINATED
(AP) - Mitt Romney is the Republican presidential nominee. The former Massachusetts governor swept the roll call vote today. About 200 votes went to other candidates. Aides say Romney will be in the convention hall later tonight when his wife speaks to the delegates. He'll make his acceptance speech on Thursday.
6. AMERICAN AIRLINES GLITCH
(AP) - A computer glitch has gummed up operations for United Airlines at airports and its website. United says it's solved the problem, which it called a "network outage." Its passengers used other terms. Some turned to social media to complain about long lines and boarding passes being hand-written.
