Bowling Green State
University is facing a civil
lawsuit from a former football player.
Cody Silk claims the
university and several members of the football staff failed to recognize,
diagnose or treat him for head trauma and concussion symptoms after issuing him
an ill-fitted helmet.
The suit claims neurological
damage was the result. It also alleges the university used Silk's damaged
mental state to revoke his athletic scholarship.
A spokesman for BGSU
says the university cannot comment on the case.
