A semi driver is dead after rear-ending another semi on US 223 in Whiteford Township just after noon Wednesday.
Monroe County sherriff's deputies tell 13abc Michael Andrews, 33, was driving a semi west on US 223 and rear-ended another semi, which was in the process of turning left on Creque Road.
Andrews' rig overturned and burst into flames. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not hurt.
US 223 was shut down between Memorial Highway and Sylvania-Petersburg Road for hours Wednesday afternoon.
