
Kelly Stobba has been hired as a certified athletic trainer by the University of Toledo, assistant athletic director for sports medicine Brian Jones announced today.
"I am extremely excited about Kelly joining the University of Toledo Sports Medicine Staff," said Jones. "She brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience which will benefit the level of care we are able to offer our student-athletes. Kelly is a delightful young professional and we are happy she is now a Rocket."
A native of Franklin, WI, Stobba comes to Toledo after serving as the assistant athletic trainer at the University of Minnesota-Duluth since 2007. During her time at UMD, Stobba worked with the football, women's basketball and baseball teams. She formerly worked as the head athletic trainer for Oak Hill High School while she was a graduate assistant at the University of Florida.
"I am excited to be joining the sports medicine staff, the football team, and entire Rockets' Athletic Department," Stobba said. "I already have felt a great welcome and can't wait to contribute to the ongoing success of the Athletic Department."
Stobba received her degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in athletic training and earned a master's degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida.
