Robin Roberts, the beloved anchor of Good Morning America, is battling a blood disorder and was set to finish this week and go on medical leave for a bone marrow transplant.
But GMA announced that Thursday is now her last day at the anchor desk for a while. The change of plans was prompted by Roberts needing to go home to Mississippi to be with her ailing mother, Lucimarian Roberts.
She is still scheduled to begin her final preps for her bone marrow transplant next week.
Roberts tweeted "Dear ones, this is my final morn @gma for a while. Heading home after the show to be w/ my ailing mom in ms. You'll be in my heart & soul."
Add your well wishes for Robin's recovery on our Facebook wall.
