Police chase sends one woman to the hospital

TOLEDO, Ohio -

A police chase ends with a car crash in Toledo early Saturday morning.

Officers say they pulled over a vehicle around 2:00am and when they tried to walk up to it, the woman behind the wheel took off.  That launched a brief pursuit.

It started at the intersection of Sylvania and Detroit, and ended on Collingwood near Manhattan.  The driver turned the corner, lost control and crashed into a pole.  She's in custody.  Her passenger was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.  Police say alcohol is not a factor.
