CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Highway Patrol says a 31-year-old man has died after being struck by two vehicles as he tried to cross an interstate highway on foot.
Investigators say the man had left his vehicle on the southbound shoulder of Interstate 77 in Cuyahoga Heights in northeast Ohio, and he walking across lanes just before 10 p.m. Sunday. They say he was hit by a vehicle while in the middle lane, then again by another vehicle in the far left southbound lane.
The Garfield Heights man was pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center. Investigators didn't say why Matthew Jakubecz left his vehicle. They were still investigating Monday.
