Chick-fil-A bringing 200 jobs to Northwest Ohio

Posted: Updated:

Hundreds of new jobs are heading to northwest Ohio, thanks to two new fast food restaurants, one in Perrysburg and one in Toledo.

Chick-fil-A has been in the news lately over protests about the owner's views on gay marriage, but now the restaurant is in the news for a different reason: jobs.

It's still a work in progress, but when it's finished the Chick-fil-A location at Sylvania and Talmadge will have all the bells and whistles.

"It is going to be a state-of-the-art kitchen, a big kids play place, and a double drive through," Jonathan Winn, owner of the Sylvania and Talmadge location, said. "Hopefully we can accommodate a lot of traffic."

But the best part is new job opportunities. Between the Toledo location and another one in Perrysburg, 200 jobs will be up for grabs.

"The positions we will have available are either entry level, all the way up to upper level management positions," Winn said.

Starting Monday, people can apply for the jobs at the Perrysburg location only.

In the meantime, the restaurant in Perrysburg is set to open in the beginning of November. The Toledo location will open after Thanksgiving.
