Shawn Remington, 34, is accused of touching a seven year old girl. Remington's neighbor calls the charges bogus.
"He's a good guy. I've never had a problem with him. He's always been there helping me as much as he could and I just believe it didn't happened," the suspects neighbor Kevin Krieger.
Police say Reminigton's victim is the daughter of his business associate. Detective John Wall says the suspect sometimes picked up the girl from school and watched her.
"She gave different disclosures of things he was doing to her and what he was making her do to herself. She also make disclosures of seeing naked babies on the computer," said detective John Wall.
Investigators say Remington was a property maintenance supervisor at the apartment complex where he lived. Police searched his place and took his computer
"The computer contains child erotica and child pornography," said detective Wall.
Police say Remington was also involved with a local boy scouts organization.
"We don't know either way if any of the boys scouts were victims. We just know that through the search warrant he was a scout leader. He had his uniform hanging in his bedroom," said detective Wall
13abc checked with Boy Scouts of America. They told us "Remington is not a scout leader or registered volunteer. This is an isolated incident. They are working with authorities to determine if any child protective violations occurred during scout programming," said the Field Service Scout Executive Dan Busby
"Anyone who's into having sex with young children may find being a part of the boys scouts as a kid in a candy store," said detective Wall.
Detective Wall says the story doesn't end there. He says foster children placed in the custody of Remington's family have accused Remington of inappropriately touching them as well. Remington's neighbor says the charges are shocking
"I'm going to stick with him and be his friend no matter what," said Krieger.
Remington faces life in prison if he's convicted of criminal sexual conduct.
