The Historic Church of St. Patrick held their annual firefighters remembrance mass Sunday at the church firefighters helped save after a lightning strike.
On September 9, 1980 firefighters fought a steeple fire at St. Patrick's historic church in downtown Toledo. The church says thank you by remembering first responders who serve the community.
Firefighters, their families and friends were invited to the mass celebrated by Bishop Leonard Blair.
The service also served as way to remember those firefighters lost on 9/11.
Firefighters were encouraged to bring their helmets to have them blessed.
