Rocket Roundball Social to be Held in Savage Arena on Thursday, Oct. 18
University of Toledo President Dr. Lloyd Jacobs and his wife Ola are hosting a Rocket Roundball Social on the main floor of Savage Arena on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the University of Toledo Men's Basketball Progress Fund.
The Rocket Roundball Social, which is an event that has grown into a Rocket basketball tradition, offers individuals the opportunity to meet Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk, his staff and players while enjoying food from some of Toledo's finest restaurants.
Kowalczyk is entering his third season at UT's helm and orchestrated a dramatic turnaround in the Rockets' 2011-12 campaign. UT registered the second-largest turnaround in NCAA Division I Basketball last year by compiling a 19-17 win-loss mark and advancing to post-season play for the first time in five years. The Rockets will be returning all but one letterwinner from last season's squad, including second-team All-MAC honoree Rian Pearson and MAC Freshman of the Year Julius Brown.
A silent and live auction will be held during the evening with some of the items available for purchase including a "Roadtrip with the Rockets", "All-Access Program Pass for a Game", Toledo basketball apparel and assorted memorabilia. An assortment of great food from Toledo-area restaurants is also going to be served.
Advance ticket options include:
• Individual ticket - $75.00
• A reserved table of 10 - $1,000
• "Center Circle" membership - $2,500 (includes a reserved table of 10, a 2012-13 Toledo Rockets autographed basketball, special recognition and signage at event)
