UPDATE: Two car ax on N. Summit near Craig Bridge - N. Summit closed EB

There was a two car accident early this morning on North Summit and the Craig Bridge. Police say one car hit a poll, cutting it in half and ejecting the driver. The second car was struck by the debris. The driver was ejected from that car too.
Toledo police and fire responded quickly, but both drivers had to be sent to the hospital .
Currently the North Summit is closed.
Again, crews are working to clear the scene, but, as of now, no word on when it will be reopened.

Officials have confirmed that one person has died as a result of the crash.
