The United Way of Greater Toledo kicked off its 2012 Campaign this morning. A celebration Breakfast was held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Levis Commons. The keynote speaker was Harlem activist and educator Geoffrey Canada.
Canada is a Harvard Graduate and founder of Harlem Kids Zone in Harlem. He was featured in an education documentary "Waiting for Superman."
13abc's Kristian Brown served as the MC. United Way officials announced a fundraising goal of $13.8 million. The organization is asking the public to pledge support or volunteer. For more information on the United Way of Greater Toledo, call 211.
