America's Roller Coast is making room for its newest attraction. Cedar Point crews removed the Space Spiral early Wednesday morning, clearing the way for its first winger coaster GateKeeper.
The amusement park plans to begin construction on the new ride this fall. The new coaster will feature a 170-foot drop, with a top speed of 67 milers per hour.
As for the old Space Spiral, Cedar Point plans to use part of it as a display for Hallo-weekends.
Meanwhile, Amusement Today magazine just named Cedar Point as the world's Best Amusement Park for the 15th year in a row.
