Toledo firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Toledo. The fire broke out at a home on the 1100 block of Avondale just after 11:30pm Tuesday. Dispatchers tell us heavy flames are showing.

1. CASINO FELONY
A man authorities say they caught cheating at the Hollywood Casino in Toledo is facing felony charges. The Lucas County Grand Jury today indicted Jeffrey Stevens was indicted for an "unnamed casino felony offense." The Ohio Casino Control Commission says Stevens tried to change his bet while playing blackjack.
2. PICKETT ACADEMY OPENS
The Toledo Public School District is celebrating the opening of a new elementary school. A special ceremony took place this afternoon at Pickett Academy. The new, 43,000 square foot facility cost nearly $7.4 million. The school boasts state of the art technology, solar panels to make it more energy efficient, skylights and a brand new playground.

(AP) - Ohio's Casino Commission has approved a license for the $400 million Hollywood Casino Columbus. The casino is slated to open for business next month and would be the third in the state.

(AP) - The state House has OK'd bills aimed at shoring up the state's five public pension funds -- sending the measures on to the Senate, which could approve them later today. The legislation would affect nearly 1.8 million Ohioans covered by the funds.

5. CHICAGO TEACHERS STRIKE
(AP) - As Chicago's teachers strike heads toward a fourth day, the Rev. Jesse Jackson says negotiators don't seem to have the same sense of urgency he's seeing on the city's streets. Jackson met with both union and school district officials today and says the two sides appear "quite dug in." The strike has canceled classes for more than 350,000 students.
6. WEST NILE VIRUS
(AP) - Health officials says it's likely that 2012 will be the worst year for West Nile virus deaths and severe illnesses since the disease was discovered in the U.S. in 1999. There have been 118 deaths reported and more than 1,400 serious cases. Most are in Texas but Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Michigan have also seen substantial numbers.
