Schultz Named MAC Golfer of the Week

Senior Allison Schultz has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the first time in her collegiate career.

A Cincinnati, OH native, Schultz posted a career-best second-place finish to lead Toledo to Illinois State's Redbird Invitational title last weekend. Schultz, who won the Ohio Women's Amateur over the summer, birdied her final two holes on Sunday to finish with a career-low six-over par 222 (75-75-72). Schultz's three rounds were each career lows with her previous best a 76 as a junior.

Schultz and the Rockets will head to East Lansing, MI this weekend for the Mary Fossum Invitational. UT will play 36 holes on Saturday, Sept. 15 followed by 18 holes on Sunday, Sept. 16.
