Week One Reflections

Posted: Updated:

It was a great experience and a blessing to play against my brother on Monday Night Football! Too bad the outcome wasn't better but it's a long season. That's why we can't get too high or too low after a big win or a loss.

I'm actually sitting in the cold tub right now after a long day of practice and meetings. I definitely feel like it helps my body stay fresh for the long season ahead of me. I've watched a lot of good veteran players come and go before me and the way they took care of their bodies is why they played so long in the NFL. I want to do the same thing and be smart with how I train and recover from tough practices and workouts!

It is a full time job with all the mental and physical strain we put on our bodies. It's going to be an exciting week here in Cincinnati with the Browns coming to town! Ill get to face an old teammate of mine John Greco, and a buddy I grew up playing football with since I was 8 yrs old Raymond Ventrone. I'm excited knowing a lot of Toledo will be watching this game because both teams are very close and I've met a lot of Cleveland and Cinci fans! But this weekend all you Toledo fans better have on your Bengals shirts!! ;)
